MBFWA KLuK CGDT

A bit late but here is a quick pick of a few of my favourite looks from the KLuK CGDT show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa last week. Inspired by the movie 'White Mischief' and the South China islands. Malcolm and Christiaan hosted a 'fashion happening' which was extremely well received. I loved the shades from Sunglass Hut and the beautiful pastel platform heels from Nine West. I also modelled in the show for the boys (seen in the first picture centre) and the following evening we attended the fashion awards. It was a phenomenal event to end the year off with a bang as our last show of the year, and what a busy year it has been. TGIF! x o x o K

I am so excited to share this video which is the fruit of all our hard work from the past month or so. This is the first Fashion Film for KLÛK CGDT and definitely a highlight for me. In the three years that I have been working for the boys I have seen and done such exciting things and worked on amazing projects. This weekend was the tenth Fashion Week I have worked on with them, in which I also 'modelled'. I will share pictures of the collection asap but for now take a little trip to the Taj Hotel in Cape Town with the amazing Katryn Kruger and her fabulous KLÛK CGDT wardrobe!

I'm a sucker for anything to do with summer and wishing it would arrive in Cape Town already! Hopefully she will show her pretty face soon... till then something to keep us going, with swimwear TDF! Kx

Queen of fest style and bohomian chic, Gillian Zinser, in this Coachella themed shoot for Foam Magazine (march issue). Great inspiration for the upcoming Festival Season in Cape Town. Can't wait for Rocking the Daisies next weekend, now just to hold thumbs for warmer weather! K xxx

I came across this beautiful image of Sara Donaldson on her blog Harper & Harley, featuring this amazing necklace from Lovisa - I'm in love! I was very excited to see that Lovisa had opened in Cape Town in Canal Walk and have been spoiling myself with a couple goodies from them, but can't wait to get my hands on this piece! bunting + neon = perfection! x  o x o K

A selection of my favourite (well I loved almost everything actually) looks from Sass & Bide's SS13 'Love Shady' collection as show cased at London Fashion Week. The detailing is impeccable and absolutely I love the sublte tribal/warrior influences. Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke are absolutely one of my favourite fashion design duos. As a creative assistant to South Africa's top Fashion Design duo, KLuK CGDT, (see article below) I have a keen interest in design duos the world round. Admitedly I have quite an obsession with Australian designers and their design aesthetic, but Sass & Bide definitely comes in top 3 of my favourite inspiring designers. drool worthy

Whenever I feel like I need a little inspiration after a long day, I go back to this post on Sass & Bide's creative director, Heidi's, house. Today I continued as usual onto their site and browsed through the 'Sing, Brother!' collection, it is divine (when has sass & bide not been?!) and here is a pick of my favourite items. To top it off I am now in desperate need of a shorts suit, putting that on top of the wish list! Apologies for the lack of posts, still no laptop since mine was stolen 3 months ago... but Spring is here and soon I will get back into action and start shooting again! Till next time x o x o K
